Principal Jeff Shaw leads Context Architecture and is directly involved in every project undertaken by the office. Named a principal in 2009, Jeff assumed sole leadership in 2015 and actively fosters the firm’s collaborative approach to client-focused design.

A recognized expert in public safety and institutional/religious design, Jeff has lectured and taught seminars on both topics. His critically acclaimed design work has appeared in national publications and received local and national design awards. Jeff's recent work includes new public safety complexes in Scarborough, ME, and Southborough, MA, new Fire Headquarters in Uxbridge and Westford, MA, the new Weston Police Headquarters, and renovations to the historic Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston. Jeff’s award-winning design work has been recognized by the American Institute of Architecture's Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture, and the Massachusetts Historical Commission.

Jeff is a registered architect in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. Jeff chairs Boston’s Park Street Church Facilities Committee and is a member of their Finance & Administration Committee. He is also a member of the Boston Preservation Alliance’s Development Committee and the Boston Society of Architect’s Building Enclosure Council.
