The new Milton Fire Department Headquarters is a state-of-the-art fire station designed to meet the growing needs of the Town’s fire and emergency services. This highly accessible facility provides additional space for equipment storage, administrative functions, training elements, and an industry-leading decontamination sequence (separated into contaminated, transition, and decontaminated zones, to prevent contaminants inadvertently carried back to the station on equipment and gear from reaching administrative and living spaces).

The configuration of the Headquarters facilitates reduced response time, better general services to the community, and an improved working environment for firefighters (which includes an abundance of natural daylighting and a large fitness area overlooking the apparatus bays). The facility also employs a number of energy efficient / sustainable design strategies (aligning with the Town’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sensitivity) and accommodates the latest firefighting technology to help ensure that the Milton Fire Department remains well-prepared for both current and future challenges.
